STACI has a new username for you to use to login

STACI, passwords No Comments »

Student access to STACI has been upgraded to allow login with the college network username and password, instead of the separate username that has been in use for STACI.

The “Classic STACI” username and passwords will no longer work, so if you don’t know your DYC network password, contact Academic Computing Services as soon as possible for help getting logged in. For students who started coming to D’Youville after June 2008, don’t feel confused–you were never given a “STACI login” (because your DYC network login is the only thing you need to log in to STACI).

If you forget your network username or password, come to BFC-008 with your photo id to have it reset.

DYC username changes

STACI, email, passwords, wireless network No Comments »

Starting in June 2008, D’Youville students are being issued a username for the DYC network that is different than the style of usernames issued to students who have been registered at D’Youville prior to June 2008.

New students can use the login instructions that are available at any of the following locations:

If you’re not sure what your DYC network user name or password is, stop in to our office (Bauer Family Academic Center, room BFC-008) with your photo id and talk to one of the staff, who will be glad to help you get logged in.

What can you log into with your DYC network username and password?

Important note: We strongly urge students to use strong passwords and to change them regularly to keep their account secure and their personal information private. If you have any questions about how to change your password, please ask at the help desk of the computer lab or in the office of Academic Computing Services.

“Which login do I use?” - a frequently asked question (FAQ)

FAQ, STACI, passwords No Comments »

One of the more frequently asked questions (FAQ) we hear is about which login to use for which computer-based service. With several different usernames and passwords that a student could use on campus, it is not hard to get them mixed up.

For example, if you’re using your own laptop computer to connect to Blackboard wirelessly on the college’s wireless network, you’ll have to use two separate usernames and passwords. The table below helps straighten it out.

Here’s a quick overview of which login goes with which service:
